3 Things We Learnt From Liverpool 2-0 Leicester City

 1) 30 goals in 60 appearances in Liverpool colours for Diogo Jota

What a signing Diogo Jota has been for Liverpool! Breaking into Liverpool's favoured 'Front 3' looked so difficult until Jota came in and made it possible. Also, replacing Firmino as the No. 9 in the team had become a headache for Jurgen Klopp but I think it's safe to say now that Jota is the 1st choice striker for Liverpool. Tonight, he grabbed 2 goals in either half to seal the 3 points for Liverpool. In the first half, he scored from the rebound after Van Dijk's header was initially saved by Schmeichel. It was a classic No. 9's goal as he was there at the right place at the right time. In the second half, he scored from a beautiful pass from Joel Matip to put the game to bed.

2) The King is back!

Salah received a great reception from the Anfield faithful as he replaced Firmino in the 60th minute. Given he missed the vital penalty at the King Power in December and after the recent defeat in the AFCON Final, he was determined to put things right. He was unlucky not to get on the scoresheet as his curling effort hit the upright and Schmeichel also saved an 1v1 against him. It was a great cameo from the Egyptian King and knowing the player he is, he will only use the recent disappointment as an extra motivation to push on for more silverware with Liverpool.

3) An exciting debut from Luiz Diaz

With Mane arriving late from Senegal, Luiz Diaz was thrown straight into the mix as he was handed his first PL start for Liverpool. It was a lively debut from the Colombian to say the least. The only thing missing from his performance was his first goal but it's only time before he achieves that. The most satisfying thing right now is that for the first time in years, Liverpool have four high quality wide players. Not only that, in Jota, they have someone who can play all the three positions in the frontline. The next step for Liverpool would be to ensure the contract renewals of the likes of Mane, Salah and Firmino.
