3 Things We Learnt From Aston Villa 1-2 Liverpool

 1) Alisson was outstanding

Alisson was Liverpool's saviour once again as he made some big saves to win Liverpool the game. In the second half, he made a huge save to deny Ings who was clear on goal. In the 84th minute, he denied Ings once again as Ings got past 4 Liverpool players to shoot.

2) Diaz and Mane were excellent

Luiz Diaz started the game on the right side but was more dangerous when he moved on to the left wing. He was the game changer once again as he laid the assist for Mane's winner. Mane, also, was excellent throughout the game. He was exceptional in his buildup play and could've scored in the first half but his header was inches wide. In the second half, he won the game for Liverpool with his crucial header. It was a Man of the Match performance from the Senegalese who's been a revelation since moving to the centre forward role after Diaz's arrival in January. At this moment, Diaz and Mane are Liverpool's biggest attacking threats as both Salah and Jota are going through a rough patch.

3) Fabinho's injury is a HUGE blow

Fabinho had a very poor start to the game. He lost possession and gave away a few silly fouls and was lucky not to go into the referee's book. His involvement in the game ended prematurely as he was substituted off with a hamstring injury. This could prove to be a huge blow as Liverpool don't have another natural No. 6. Henderson could play in that role but that would mean losing him as an 8. Henderson, Fabinho and Thiago have played an awful lot of matches and this was the reason why Klopp decided to rest both Thiago and Henderson. Unfortunately , though, Fabinho got injured and Jurgen Klopp needs to come up with a solution. Let's just hope that Liverpool can have Fabinho back for the Champions League Final. Moreover, Jurgen Klopp needs to everything in his power to keep the remaining 10 Starting 11 players fresh and fit and if it means heavy rotation in the Premier League then so be it.
