3 Things We Learnt From Liverpool 1-1 Tottenham

 1) Gritty Tottenham

First and foremost, let's give credit where it's due: Tottenham were amazing. There's a reason they have done the double over Man City and drawn twice with Liverpool this season. One might think they just sat back and hit Liverpool on the counter but even doing that at Anfield takes a lot of quality. They scored a well worked goal and were sound defensively. The atmosphere was electric but they did well to take the life out of the game, especially in the 2nd half. They could've even won the game right at the death when Hojberg tried to give the ball to Kane but luckily for Liverpool, he miscued his header.

2) Liverpool fullbacks had an average game

It was no surprise to see Liverpool failing to create clear cut chances when two of their main creative forces, Alexander and Robertson, didn't have their best games. Trent's delivery was a bit off and Robertson played Sessegnon onside for the Spurs goal.

3) The title's gone

This might sound harsh but if we're being realistic, Liverpool's hopes for winning the league are extremely slim right now. Man City slipping up and then drawing a game was hard to envisage but now Liverpool not only need them to lose a game but also need to outscore them in order to clinch the title. Moreover, after City's dramatic exit from Europe this week, all they're left to play for are the league games. Also, the teams they are left to face have nothing to play for. All these don't sound music to any Liverpool fan's ear right now but it is what it is. I think Jurgen Klopp would be better off by rotating in the Premier League to keep the starting 11 fresh for the cup finals and also giving the squad players some rhythm. An injury to any of the key players would be catastrophic right now. Jurgen Klopp's priority should turn to winning the Finals he and his team have worked so hard to reach.
